About our Honorees:

Kit Demirdelen
Kit has dedicated her time and talents to RiverArts for over a decade, as an artist, a board member, and most recently as the Producer of our annual Studio Tour, a free public program across villages from Hastings to Sleepy Hollow.  The Studio Tour features over 80 local visual artists, working in a variety of mediums, as they welcome art lovers into their studios to interact, learn about their craft, and shop.  In her own artistic practice, Kit works in wool and jewelry and shows in exhibitions and online. As a teaching artist/art therapist, she has served special needs populations at the Queens Museum of Art, worked in partnership with the Hudson River Museum serving autistic students at PS 29 in Yonkers, and currently teaches at the Shames JCC in Tarrytown.  After attending Bennington College, she earned an MA in Art Therapy at Hofstra University, and is an affiliate of the American Art Therapy Association.  Kit also serves as a Commissioner of the Hastings Village Arts Commission.

Adam Hart
Adam has been a musical force at RiverArts through a variety of programs over the last seven years, including as the Producer of our annual Music Tour, which welcomes hundreds of local musicians and thousands of audience members to enjoy free pop-up music performances in parks, backyards, porches, churches, galleries, and more throughout the Rivertowns.  Adam has been performing as a folk-rock singer-songwriter and cover artist here in the Rivertowns for over two decades. With a Master of Education, Adam specializes teaching guitar and voice in singer-songwriter styles, including music theory, classic rock, blues, bossa nova, and a touch of baroque. Adam has made his love of music and community a centerpiece of his teaching.
