DESCRIPTION:Join us for a night of friends\, fun\, and jazz to support the arts!\nHonoringPeter SeidenbergArtistic Director\, Chamber Music Series \nJoanna Riesman & Michael Tremonte \n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				Gather with friends and neighbors to celebrate the power of the arts! \nYou’ll enjoy a wine and beer reception\, live music\, and an art-filled silent auction as we pay tribute to this year’s distinguished honorees: Peter Seidenberg\, Artistic Director of RiverArts Chamber Music Series for the last decade\, and Joanna Riesman and Michael Tremonte whose generosity—both as volunteers and supporters—have contributed to the success of RiverArts’ Chamber Music program and beyond. \nAll proceeds benefit RiverArts’ artistic and educational programs including free community-wide Music and Studio Tours\, performances in dance\, music\, and theater\, and children’s music and art education. \n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				About Our Honorees\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				Peter SeidenbergArtistic Director\, Chamber Music Series \nGrammy-nominated cellist Peter Seidenberg has been the Artistic Director of RiverArts’ Chamber Music Series for the last decade\, in collaboration with co-Producer Doug Coe. Peter has performed in major halls throughout the U.S.\, Europe\, and Asia. He made his solo debut with the Chicago Symphony and has since appeared as a soloist with many orchestras\, including the Century Orchestra of Osaka\, Japan\, the New American Chamber Orchestra\, the De Paul Chamber Orchestra\, New York Chamber Soloists\, and the Eastman Rochester Philharmonic. For four years\, he served as principal cellist with the Century Orchestra of Osaka. He was a founding member of the critically acclaimed Elements Quartet\, which created groundbreaking commissioning projects involving over 30 composers. He has collaborated with members of the Cleveland\, Tokyo\, Juilliard\, and Emerson Quartets\, and has participated in the Marlboro\, Aspen\, Caramoor\, Casals\, and Norfolk Festivals. In addition to his work with RiverArts\, Peter is the cellist for the Oracle Trio\, the Queen’s Chamber Band\, and the New York Chamber Soloists and Artistic Director of the HBMS Contemporary Music Festival. \nJoanna Riesman & Michael Tremonte \nHastings residents Joanna Riesman and Michael Tremonte have been ardent supporters and volunteers at RiverArts and throughout their Rivertowns community.  Joanna served as a Board Member at RiverArts from 2019-2025\, and is the Producer of RiverArts’ Figure Drawing program that has expanded under her direction to bi-monthly gatherings welcoming art enthusiasts of all experience levels.  Joanna and her husband Michael have provided generous underwriting for our Chamber Music program\, allowing RiverArts to bring dozens of world-class musicians to perform in this community.  In addition to her work with RiverArts\, Joanna has devoted many years to the Hastings Public Library and to the Friends of the Old Croton Aqueduct. Michael is the co-founder of Sher Termonte LLP\, a litigation boutique in New York City.  He previously served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Eastern District of New York. Before law school\, Michael pursued graduate studies in Classics. \n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				————THIS EVENT HAS SOLD OUT————\nWe are deeply grateful for all who’ve purchased tickets. Bring your dancing shoes\, raise a glass\, and spend an evening reveling in creativity and community. \nAll proceeds benefit RiverArts’ artistic and educational programs including free community-wide Music and Studio Tours\, performances in dance\, music\, and theater\, and children’s music and art education. \n			\n				Purchase Tickets\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				About Our Honoree\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				Maxine has dedicated her time and talents to RiverArts for over 2 decades\, serving on the Board and as Board President from 2004 to 2008\, and producing an annual dance concert at RiverArts since 2005. She has brought world-renowned dance companies to the Rivertowns community\, including Paul Taylor Dance Company\, Ballet Hispanico\, Ronald K. Brown/EVIDENCE\, Trisha Brown\, DecaDance\, Caleb Teicher\, and more. She was also one of the featured dancers and choreographers in RiverArts’ production of Braiding\, which was awarded an NEA grant.  \nMaxine began dancing as a child in Pittsburgh before moving to NYC to become a principal dancer in the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and the Martha Graham Dance Company. She has been Associate Professor of Dance at SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Dance\, North Carolina School of the Arts\, NYU School of Education\, and Southern Methodist University. Maxine has choreographed for MAXIMUM Dance\, the Ailey School\, American Dance Festivals\, Point Park College\, the Masters School\, and Hudson River Museum\, and is a recipient of the 50/50 Choreographic Artists’ Award for ArtsWestchester. With certifications in Pilates\, Gyrokinesis and Gyrotonic\,® she is the founder of E-Tone Studio\, Pinecrest Studio LLC\, and GratefulPilates.com. Maxine has a BA in Body Therapies from NYU and an MFA in Performing Arts Studies from Sarah Lawrence College. Since moving to Hastings-on-Hudson over 20 years ago\, Maxine has danced as a guest artist with Battleworks Dance Company\, Rioult Dance NY\, Heidi Latsky Dance\, and Monica Bill Barnes\, in addition to her work with RiverArts. \n			\n				Purchase Tickets
