SUMMARY:Virtual Salon Sundays - Artist Studio Tour with Monica Shulman
DESCRIPTION:Virtual Salon Sundays \n \n Register for Event\n \n \n \n \n \n Sunday\, May 2nd 3:00-3:45 pm Livestream on RiverArts Instagram \nFREE EVENT- Please register. \nRiverArts’ now offers a virtual spin on this historic tradition and are featuring artists every other Sunday from 3 pm to 4 pm.  Each artist will live-stream a brief studio tour and take questions from the audience in the last ten minutes. This is a great opportunity to gain insights in to their creative process\, learn about techniques in a variety of media and participate in a live Q&A with these two artists.  \nMonica Shulman is a self-taught contemporary artist whose brand of gestural abstraction is a form of story-telling. Her intuitive work is process-oriented and she learns through experimentation. Her world is best described as colorful and rhythmic. A first generation American of Cuban and Argentinian descent\, who left her career as an attorney to focus on her art practice full-time\, Monica lives and works in the lower Hudson Valley with her husband and their children. \nMonica has been featured in various publications including Popular Photography\, Westchester Magazine\, and the Huffington Post.  In 2019\, the Director of PULSE Art Fair in Miami invited Monica to participate in the “Next Generation” exhibit to celebrate the fair’s 15th anniversary. Her work has been shown at the American Academy of Arts and Letters in New York City\, Photo LA\, Art Market Hamptons\, PULSE Art Fair\, and the New York Mercantile Exchange\, among others. \nHow to watch Instagram Live:\nOne watches a live broadcast on the Instagram app on your mobile device or on Instagram.com. RiverArts’ profile picture will appear at the top of Feed with a colorful ring around it and the word Live. Tap or click their profile picture to view the live broadcast. \nGet a jump on the tour and check out their work on IG ahead of time! \nMonica Shulman Instagram \nFOR MORE INFORMATION EMAIL: info@riverarts.org \n \n Register for Event
