This two-day tour will be held on the first weekend of November. \nSaturday\, November 4\, 11am–5pmSunday\, November 5\, 11am–3pm \nFULL ARTIST LIST AND MAP HERE\nThis multi-village adventure offers a veritable treasure hunt through industrial lofts\, home studios\, outdoor installations\, storefronts\, and galleries stretching from Hastings-on-Hudson to Tarrytown. The Studio Tour offers an opportunity to engage with local artists in an intimate setting\, learn about their process and inspiration\, and meet plenty of art lovers along the way. Participants can explore a wide range of mediums and unique works\, and if you are lucky\, you’ll bring home something to treasure for years to come. \nIn addition to the main Tour weekend\, RiverArts will host two preview exhibitions of works by participating artists. On Sunday\, October 15th from 3-5pm\, a preview show featuring works by Hastings\, Dobbs Ferry\, and Ardsley artists on the Tour will be shown at Hastings Village Hall Gallery. On Sunday\, October 22nd from 3-5pm\, a preview show featuring works by Tarrytown\, Sleepy Hollow\, and Irvington artists on the Tour will be shown at Shames JCC.  \n

We are requiring folks pre-register and pay IN ADVANCE ONLY. Class limited to 30 people so book in advance. If you register and can’t make it\, please email jriesman@riverarts.org \nTime: 7:30-9:30pm \n			\n				Register for Drink & Draw here\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				Drink & Draw is a modern twist on the classic artistic practice of life drawing. Artists of all experience levels and backgrounds are welcome\, especially those that have always wanted to try their hand.  \nIn this non-instructional event\, we aim to create a relaxing\, social and inclusive environment for the community to come together for a fun night of drawing.  After some mingling with fellow guests\, participants will have an opportunity to capture the human body in poses of different lengths\, with breaks for refreshments in between.   \nThere’s wine\, crackers\, cheese and cookies to enjoy\, and our host curates a playlist to keep your energy flowing.  The evening lasts about 2 hours\, and participants leave with a collection of their new works… and maybe some new friends too. \nRiverArts is proud to be able to provide this unique opportunity right here in our Rivertowns\, an opportunity which is often only accessible to art students or by traveling into New York City\, with a significant investment of time and tuition.  Drink & Draw offers a perfect entry-level for the amateur artist\, and we have seen beginners improve significantly as their skills develop in subsequent sessions and they draw on their experience and learn from others.   \nModel provided. Please bring your own art supplies and arrive on time. Must be over 18 to attend. Wine for those 21+ \nFOR MORE INFORMATION EMAIL: jriesman@riverarts.org \n*If you are having issues registering from mobile please try from a desktop or use this link. \n#DrinkAndDraw \n			\n				Register for Drink & Draw here

DESCRIPTION:2023 Chamber Music Benefit\nSunday November 19th1:00–3:00pmThe Newington-Cropsey Foundation25 Cropsey Lane Hastings-on-Hudson\, NY 10706In-advance ticket sales only\, not available at-the-door \n			\n				Tickets for Performances\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				  \nJoin us for our annual Chamber Music Benefit at the stunning Cropsey Foundation on November 19th. This program will feature gorgeous compositions from Brahms and Schubert. Come hear these deeply moving romantic era pieces\, while surrounded by the magnificent contemporaneous paintings of Hudson River School master Jasper Cropsey. Brahms’ emotional and sweeping Cello Sonata in e minor Opus 38 will be played by Peter Seidenberg\, along with the autumnal Clarinet Trio\, Opus 114. In addition to these awe-inspiring instrumental works\, we will hear vocal works of both Brahms and Schubert. The poetic Opus 70 songs for Baritone and piano by Brahms\, and one of Schubert’s greatest and most beloved masterpieces\, The Shepherd on the Rock\, for soprano\, clarinet\, and piano. \nFeatured artists include Pascal Archer (clarinet)\, Allison Charney (soprano)\, Bernard Holcom (tenor)\, Craig Ketter (piano)\, Hui-Mei Lin (piano)\, and Peter Seidenberg (cello). The run time will be 90 minutes with an intermission.  \n\nAt the conclusion of the concert music\, the Cropsey Foundation will host a cocktail reception (included in the ticket price). Guests are invited to enjoy the works of Hudson River School painter\, Jasper Cropsey in the gallery. In addition to the permanent collection on display\, the Newington-Cropsey Foundation will have Cropsey’s 1894 painting\, Winter at Hastings On Hudson on view. \n\n\n\nTickets to the Sunday concert are priced at $100 each. Because this concert is a benefit\, 50% of the cost of your ticket is tax deductible. \nIn addition to this wonderful program\, the Newington-Cropsey Foundation has offered us a limited number of spots for a preview tour of the Cropsey collection before the concert. Purchasers of these tickets will enjoy a small guided tour of Jasper Cropsey’s works before the concert at noon on the 19th. These tickets are $250 each ($200 of the cost of these tickets is tax-deductible). This is a great way to extend your support of RiverArts and our mission of building community through the arts in the Rivertowns! \nAbout The Newington-Cropsey Foundation   \nThe Newington-Cropsey Foundation was founded in 1977 by Barbara and John Newington to collect and promote works of Barbara’s great-grandfather\, Hudson River School artist Jasper Cropsey. The Foundation hosts a large collection of paintings and is considered the leading authority on Jasper Cropsey. Along with the Gallery of Art completed in the mid ’90’s\, the foundation maintains Cropsey’s final home\, Ever Rest\, on the property. They graciously host an annual Chamber Music benefit for RiverArts in the gallery.   \nAbout RiverArts Chamber Series   \nFounded in 2016\, the RiverArts Chamber Music Series under the Artistic Direction of Peter Seidenberg and producer Doug Coe\, is devoted to bringing the finest Chamber Music\, both classical and contemporary\, to the Rivertowns.
