RiverArts Cello Ensemble
Cello ensemble is a very energized class which combines having a lot of fun with putting the pedal to the metal. The atmosphere is always supportive and growth is exponential! We focus on all aspects of being a musician including playing with others, performing as a soloist, learning to listen, cello technique, sight reading, music theory, self esteem and respect for others. Students have the opportunity to perform whatever pieces they are working on in their private lessons, and several cello ensemble pieces are prepared for the final year-end recital. The cello ensemble arrangements are customized to each group and explore a vast array of musical styles. These groups are appropriate for students studying Suzuki as well as all other traditional methods; they are designed to be a supplement to private lessons. Group cello class has been offered as part of the RiverArts Music Program for more than 13 years.
These classes will meet for eight 75 minute sessions approximately every other week on Tuesdays.
