Tanya McKinnon | Board Member
Tanya is a literary agent who represents award-winning public intellectuals, children’s books, and New York Times bestselling graphic novels. She is the co-author of Zora and Me (written under the name T. R. Simon) with Victoria Bond, which won the Coretta Scott King / John Steptoe New Talent Author Award. A middle grade mystery novel inspired by the early years of Zora Neal Hurston, it is the first book not written by Hurston herself that has been endorsed by the famed writer’s trust. A second book, Oskar and the Eight Blessings, was co-authored with husband Richard Simon and illustrated by Mark Siegel. Oskar won the National Jewish Book Award.
