Jill Garland | Development Committee Chair

Jill Garland is a consultant promoting excellence in nonprofit management. She has worked in senior fundraising positions leading multimillion dollar campaigns for some of New York City’s most revered cultural institutions including Playwrights Horizons, The Public Theater/Shakespeare in the Park, and City Parks Foundation. Her leadership has resulted in a new five-story state of the art theater building on 42nd Street, funding for the 30th anniversary season of SummerStage in Central Park, and developmental and production funding for three Pulitzer Prize-winning shows: I Am My Own Wife, Clybourne Park and Hamilton.

Currently she is the owner of Jill Garland Group and is a Project Consultant with Dunch Arts. Clients have included Purpl in Hastings, Chamber Music Center of NY, Primary Stages and SAY, the Stuttering Association for Youth. She has taught at NYU, Brooklyn College and the Julliard School. Jill studied modern dance at Adelphi University and graduated from Empire State College (SUNY) with a B.A in Theater. She pursued a self-described “enthusiastic, albeit, undistinguished performing arts career” before settling into her life’s work advocating for artists and mission-driven organizations. Locally, Jill was the VP of Development at Nyack Hospital from 2011-2013, and has been an avid volunteer at Woodlands Community Temple since 2006.

Jill lives in Dobbs Ferry with her husband Andy Loose, their children Abigail and Eliot, Bailey the dog, a piano, several guitars and a viola.
